I couldn't recommend this storage facility more! The employee they have maybe one of the nicest humans I've ever met. I was in a stressful situation and needed a storage unit quick, and a U-Haul, and he was so helpful and so patient. The neighborhood looks pretty sketch, but as soon as you walk into their office, or by the storage units it feels incredibly safe and VERY clean. They also have great security to help you know that your belongings will be safe and taken care of while they are being stored there. As long as I live in Portland I'll always choose this company to store my possessions whenever they need it!

This is the best storage unit I have ever had, anywhere! The units are easy to get in and out of, everything is always clean, perfectly climatized, and always updated, good elevators and easy carts to transport stuff in and out; and the attention to safety and security is truly the best. This place is kind a rip off.In July 2019 I signed up for a online deal — ~$160/month (IIRC) for a 10"×15" space.When I went to move my stuff in the next day, they had no record of my registration, but signed me up. The first problem showed up when I got my first full bill — it was $209. Of course, I had already moved all my stuff in.The price steadily raised over the years until I was paying $413/month for a 10"×15" unit (including the required insurance) in June 2025. As of July 2025, the advertised price for a 10"×15" unit is $199 (discounted to $100).Finally, if you do rent from them, you should know that they are willing to prorate the last month as long as you give them 30 days notice (I did not because I did not know).Other plusses and minuses:+ Seems secure + Climate controlled + Free use of carts - Limited hours (but maybe you can get access after hours?) - Train sometimes blocks only road in

I just moved some stuff into storage today. Yall these people are so incredibly nice. It’s actually shocking! I used their online promotional method, which didn’t show up on my bill. I called and explained the situation to the kindest customer service representative I’ve ever had the pleasure of interacting with. Geneva made sure that the error was fixed and FAST too. It’s not that she just handled the situation fast, it’s that she was kind, compassionate, and handled the situation without qualms. When I arrived to check in, Jacob (the assistant manager) helped me with the intake. I was still shocked how kind Jacob was, he was very knowledgeable about pertinent and helpful information. Jacob even bought me a lock for the storage unit because I had the wrong one. It’s the little to BIG examples that made my first impression of this business ,and the people that run this business… an absolute positive experience. Especially knowing how stressful moving is. I highly recommend this establishment. And specifically want to thank Geneva and Jacob for taking such great care of me.

I went to the U-Haul at the last minute and Robin and Jake helped me. They we extremely kind and helpful. I rent from U-haul a couple times a year and this experience was the best I’ve encountered. Poor service I paid 80 dollars for a storage I didn't move in to yet my plans changed at the last minute I couldn't move in they kept my money and never refunded me my money back for a lock I bought and never used i basically gave them 80 dollars for nothing please don't go there

Just moved in, but have been very happy so far. Incredibly clean and modern with noticeable cameras throughout. Though this area is traditionally a little rough around the edges, it's been cleaned up considerably and I have no problem storing stuff here. Very happy with the unit and building, location, and the staff I've interacted with. Easily would recommend to others. Thank you!

A+ experience! Fart and easy...

So far so good; Only a new customer now, but the experience was excellent getting onboarded. Shout out to Alita (whose name I probably butchered) who got me all set up. It's much better, and weirdly cheaper than my space out in Beaverton with a different company, and much closer to my place, so I'm excited and hopeful for a long term positive experience.

The area has really been cleaned up. The number of homeless was virtually zero. The staff here is great. The place is always clean.. A+++

I would not recommend doing business here. I signed up online to later find out that someone started my rental a week early at a much higher price. Staff were dismissive and unwilling to investigate/amend the issue. Be warned - I'm only posting this review because my attempt to resolve this directly was met with a blank stare

In a world where times are hard on many Americans it truly saddens me that this business claims to have such a high level of service, and integrity. Callus, rude and downright mean to a human being that only wanted to retrieve their tent for the night and even offered to pay a fee for access for two minutes. Knowing someone is struggling enough to sleep in a tent at night, which is all they have in this world right now, and wanted to keep safe during their work day but denied and humiliated and sent away without any care at all is not what I would consider a business with integrity. Shameful, when people are suffering but doing their best instead of giving up. May none of your employees ever be treated so horribly in a time of need. Do better.

I don't have to worry about theft , which is s problem at many other storage locations. It's a nice location and the staff are friendly and flexible, they provide a great public service and are very understanding. I've been with this location for a while now and I've never had a problem in the slightest bit.

We found Rose City on Google Maps, seeking small storage space for which to ship items and have them secured for our Portland project. The manager, DM and assistant manager all spoke with candor and respect, made short work out of the application process. the staff were way above board in their attention detail. the energy in this company is the model for which public serving companies ought to have whether they pick up the phone or are face to face with a customer. No BS, paperwork is on the up and up. there was no bologna hidden agendas in the contractual forms. The facility is spotless considering its location. I felt our stored items were definitely secure in this facility as we seek out local small storage facilities throughout the USA for our materials storage. If there were any annoyances about this company I would certainly share them here.We have another project in this city later this year and can only hope #RoseCitySelfStorage &WineVaults has space for us. I recently started renting a unit here, and I cannot speak more highly of the people that helped me out. Their facility is nice, for sure, and it’s great that nothing is outside facing. They have great security standards. But, I was so well helped by Kurt and Dan there! They made the experience easy and enjoyable. Pulling the trigger on stuff like this is usually tough, but they made it easy. They didn’t try to upsell a bunch of stuff, they were honest and great to work with. Thank you Kurt and Dan! This location is wonderful for being central in town. The team is very communicative and on top of deliveries. Our business sometimes gets unexpected deliveries and we need a few hours to clear out the storage unit to make time. Kurt and the team are great at reaching out ahead of time to give us some grace as things get packed in. Solid prices for a great location. Can't beat it and will continue being a customer for the foreseeable future.

We are looking for a wine storage place and went to check out Rose City. They have wonderful units but the best part was getting to meet Kurt (Kirt?) who took us on a tour. What a fabulous guy to have as the face of the organization. He made it fun and informative. Thank you!

I've been a tenant at Rose City Self Storage for about 10 years and I have only ever had positive experiences, both with the facilities and with the staff. On the facilities side of things, I'm always impressed by the cleanliness and the upkeep of the entire facility. Hallways are clean, the days are orderly, if there's ever any mechanical issues they get attended to immediately, they even remove graffiti faster than the taggers can keep up.As far as the staff goes, everyone there is so friendly. And they clearly put time and effort into training new hires so you never deal with clueless people. Just today, I was helped by Kurt and Jason who were both eager to please and helpful beyond all expectations. I asked a lot of favors from them. Things like accepting deliveries for me, and allowing me to use the loading bay. They always oblige without protest.I would recommend Rose City without any hesitation to anyone wanting to store household items, business inventory, or wine.

I came in looking for a storage spot for my band’s merchandise. I was greeted by Kurt, who was extremely welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. He showed me around the facilities and showed me the different size rooms I was interested in. From what I could tell so far, this place seems top-notch. Very clean and temperature regulated. Though we ended up not needing a spot right at this moment, this is the place we will go when the time comes.

After hearing horror stories about other spaces, I rest east knowing that my belongings are safe. Kurt was very kind and helpful, I’m so glad I chose them!
